CARE INSTRUCTION GUIDES
Fusalp products are the result of many years of research and development. To get the most out of your clothing and keep it looking its best for as long as possible,
we recommend that you strictly follow the care instructions listed on the labels of your Fusalp garments.
THE GUIDES
Choose among the following guides the one you wish to read:
Washing
Always read the care instructions label for exact instructions.
Your ski jacket can be cleaned using your machine wash :
- Prior to washing, close all velcro straps, snaps and zippers.
- Wash the garment by itself.
- Choose a quick wash cycle (30 minutes).
- Use a liquid detergent, without fabric softener or bleach, and pour the correct amount of the cleaner according to the garment weight into the detergent compartment.
Washing instructions:Use cold water, maximum 30°C.
- Spin-dry Maximum 900 rpm.
Useful tip:
If your garment features contrasting colors, use an anti-discoloration wipe. Example: Black and white, red and white.
Be careful not to leave your garment in the washing machine for too long after the end of the cycle.
Drying
Always read the care instructions label of your jacket for exact drying instructions: tumble drying or air drying.
If tumble drying is suitable:
- Choose the low or medium heat setting (60°C maximum.)
- For puffy jacket such as down/synthetic down-insulated jacket, use a very low heat setting on your dryer and throw in three laundry balls to help break up wet clumps.
If air drying is suitable, then hang your jacket to dry.
- We recommend hanging it away from direct sunlight or a direct heat source to prevent discoloration and ensure durability.
Reviving water repellancy
Read and follow the care instructions label.
Tumble drying: If the care label allows tumble drying your garment, then we recommend using it to re-waterproof your jacket.
Air drying: Iron your garment with the heat setting on maximum 110°C. Set the iron on no steam and use a thin towel or cloth between the garment and the iron.
Useful tip:
Make sure your garment is completely and thoroughly dry before storing it.

When it comes to washing a Fusalp wool garment, two options are available: Machine wash or hand wash.
We recommend the use of a detergent designed specifically for woolens.
Machine wash
Choose the « wool », « delicate », or « hand-wash » cycle on the machine, replicating a gentle wash.
Washing instructions:
- Use cold water, maximum 30°C.
- Spin-dry at low speed only. Maximum 500 rpm.
Hand wash
Follow the instructions below :
- Soak the garment in tepid water.
- Swish it around to allow the soap to penetrate the fibers.
- Do not rub the fabric together.
- Let it soak for no longer than 15 minutes.
- Gently rinse the garment without wringing, rubbing or twisting.
Useful tip: Adding a few drops distilled vinegar in your last rinse water will prevent pilling, eliminate odors, and leave your clothes fluffy and soft.
Gently press or squeeze out as much water as you can without wringing, rubbing or twisting.
Useful tip: Roll garment in a dry towel, then gently press to remove excess moisture. Repeat as necessary.
DRYING
Lay garment flat to dry on a fresh towel or mesh rack.
Do not use a TUMBLE DRYER, even on cold setting.

This guides are standard recommendations applying to most of our products; they are not, however, a substitute for the care instructions placed on each item.
The care label on Fusalp products is located on the left side of the garment (when worn) for upper-body items, either along a seam or inside a small pocket inserted into the seam.
For lower-body items, the label can be found next to the size tag or slightly to the left when wearing the product.
This label is mandatory and is included on all Fusalp garments. We recommend keeping it, as it contains the washing instructions as well as the product’s composition details.
If your product no longer has its care label, you can contact Customer Service and provide a photo of the item along with proof of purchase. The team will then be able to send you the product’s care and washing instructions.
For more information about the care symbols shown on garment labels, we invite you to consult the website of the GINETEX (International Group for Textile Care Labeling).
In general, we recommend washing your product as infrequently as possible to help preserve its durability and performance over time.
We do not recommend using any products other than detergent to care for your Fusalp garments.
If you are unsure, you can contact Customer Service and provide the item name (using the 5-digit OF code found on the care label) along with the product you wish to use. The team will then be able to advise you accordingly.
We recommend following only the care instructions provided on the garment’s care label.
Maintaining Water Repellency: Key Principles
1. Technical Washing
Proper care relies on two complementary actions performed in a single wash cycle:
Technical detergent (detergent compartment): cleans the garment and removes residues that prevent water from beading on the surface.
Water-repellent treatment (fabric softener compartment): applies a new durable water-repellent (DWR) coating.
To complete the process, tumble dry the garment (if permitted by the care label) to help set the treatment.
2. Heat: The Most Effective Reactivation Method
The water-repellent finish is heat-set during manufacturing. This same principle can be used to reactivate it throughout the garment’s lifetime.
Tumble dryer (if permitted): 20–30 minutes on a low-heat setting.
Without a tumble dryer: use an iron or garment steamer with caution.
Always check the care label before applying any source of heat.
Key Information
Water repellency is a surface treatment that naturally diminishes over time with wear and washing.
Waterproofness, provided by the garment’s membrane, remains durable and is not affected by the loss of the water-repellent finish.
To prolong water repellency, follow this combination:
Appropriate washing + water-repellent treatment + heat activation.
