CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Fusalp products are the results of years of research and development. To keep your garments looking their best for years to come, we recommend carefully following the instructions on the care label sewn inside each Fusalp piece.

CARE GUIDES

Below are standard recommendations applying to most of our products; they are not, however, a substitute for the care instructions placed on each item.
For more information and how to read the washing symbols indicated on garment care labels, visit the GINETEX website.

Generally, we recommend washing your garments as little as possible to maintain their good condition and make them last longer.

Care instructions for

SKI JACKETS

Always read the care instructions label for exact instructions.

Your ski jacket can be cleaned using your machine wash :

  1. Prior to washing, close all velcro straps, snaps and zippers.
  2. Wash the garment by itself.
  3. Choose a quick wash cycle (30 minutes).
  4. Use a liquid detergent, without fabric softener or bleach, and pour the correct amount of the cleaner according to the garment weight into the detergent compartment.

Washing instructions:

  1. Use cold water, maximum 30°C.
  2. Spin-dry Maximum 900 rpm.

Useful tip:
If your garment features contrasting colors, use an anti-discoloration wipe. Example: Black and white, red and white.
Be careful not to leave your garment in the washing machine for too long after the end of the cycle.

Always read the care instructions label of your jacket for exact drying instructions: tumble drying or air drying.

If tumble drying is suitable:

  1. Choose the low or medium heat setting (60°C maximum.)
  2. For puffy jacket such as down/synthetic down-insulated jacket, use a very low heat setting on your dryer and throw in three clean tennis balls to help break up wet clumps.

If air drying is suitable, then hang your jacket to dry.

  1. We recommend hanging it away from direct sunlight or a direct heat source to prevent discoloration and ensure durability.

Read and follow the care instructions label.

Tumble drying: If the care label allows tumble drying your garment, then we recommend using it to re-waterproof your jacket.

Air drying: Iron your garment with the heat setting on maximum 110°C. Set the iron on no steam and use a thin towel or cloth between the garment and the iron.

Useful tip: Make sure your garment is completely and thoroughly dry before storing it.

Care instructions for

FOOTWEAR

The leather we use is from natural origins and will acquire a patina over time.

Before stepping in the snow, let alone salt, we recommend that you waterproof your shoes, carefully avoiding contact with rubber inlays, and reapply as needed.

Before cleaning your shoes, remove the shoelaces and insert shoe trees or stuff your shoes with newspaper so they hold their shape.

Let the shoes dry in a well-ventilated area, removing any liners or insoles.

Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with raw denim pants to prevent color bleeding and transfer.

Useful tip: Keep your shoes clean. Avoid salt stains that can detrimentally affect the leather.

  1. CLEANING: Brush away any dirt or debris from the surface using a soft brush or cloth.
  2. CONDITIONING: Use a high-quality leather conditioner, applying it sparingly with a soft cloth and let dry. Wipe the excess off with a fresh, lint-free cloth.
  3. PROTECTION: Holding the shoes 15cm away from the bottle, evenly spray the entire surface with a waterproofing spray. Allow the shoes to dry.
  1. CLEANING: Brush away any dirt or debris from the surface using a special cleaning brush/sponge for suede shoes. Use a magic gum for dry cleaning the shoe exterior and removing stubborn stains.
  2. PROTECTION: Holding the shoes 15cm away from the bottle, evenly spray the entire surface with a waterproofing spray. Allow the shoes to dry.
  1. CLEANING & CONDITIONING: Brush with a mild laundry detergent, rinse off, and allow the shoes to air dry completely.
