À Chacun son Everest !
When the disease goes, a new life begins

Since 2011, the ‘À Chacun son Everest !’ association has been supporting children suffering from leukemia and other cancers and women in remission from breast cancer in the delicate post-cancerous phase—a fundamental stage in the healing process.

Fusalp supports the exceptional work carried out by Christine Janin — founder of the association and a doctor and mountaineer with an extraordinary career — and her team, which consists of accompanying women and children to “heal better”, thanks to the ascent of “their Everest”. The Association’s philosophy is based on the strength of the symbolic parallel between the difficulty of climbing a summit and the difficulty of the path to recovery.

Finding a second wind, overcoming the ordeal of illness, regaining self-esteem and the desire to live in order to become master of one’s own recovery, such is the meaning of the mission of À Chacun son Everest ! through the courses it organizes.

Christine Janin and her team welcome participants to the historic Maison Vallot, located in the heart of Chamonix Mont-Blanc. This mythical establishment in the valley has been specifically designed and equipped to welcome women and children for a week. The house, with a living area of 1200m², includes a climbing room and a wellness area. It also has a 6000m² garden in which an adventure park that faces Mont-Blanc was created. The program includes sports activities, body care and exchanges, supervised by a multidisciplinary team.

Stays for sick women and children are entirely paid for by the association (registration, travel, accommodation, medical supervision and mountain professionals, equipment, activities and various outings).

  • Each year, 14 weeks of courses are organized for children and 14 weeks for women.
  • Since 1994, 333 courses have been organized for 4,561 children.
  • Since 2011, 104 stays have been organized for 1243 women.

The association needs our support to continue to help more women and children each year towards “their Everest”.

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Fusalp wishes to support this awareness campaign and is committed to donating 10% of the sales generated on* to the Association.

*10% of the sales (excluding tax) generated on from Wednesday 3th February to Thursday 4th February 2021 at midnight.
